This week's theme is 'steps'...so, this is my photo...u can see the footprints on the beach...represent the steps which hv been made on the sand...leading to the children...playing happily on the beach...

Too lazy to cook..??

this recipe is the easiest and require only the basic things at ur home..i always do this whenever i feel like eating, but too lazy to cook...

(Biskut telur bodoh...if translated into English, it will be the Stupid Egg's Biscuit...haha...)

materials:

4 pieces of cream crackers (i always use the Hup Seng cream crackers)
1 egg
onion (1 or 2...anyway u like...)
pepper
salt
3 tablespoon of cooking oil

methods:

crushed the crackers...(u don't hv to use 'lesung batu'...use ur hands only...hehe) in another bowl, chopped the union and mixed it with the egg...add some salt and pepper...then, pour the crushed crackers into the bowl and mixed them well...if u find it too hard, just add some water to the mixture...heat the pan and fry ur BTB...then, served it with chilli sauce...

Curry Puff..

it's been so long since the last time i blogged...hmmm...so many things happened this week...but not as interested and adveturous as the week before...hmmm...i learned to make a curry puff this week...(thanks to Mr. A for the recipe...) so i think i want to share the recipe...

HOW TO MAKE CURRY PUFFs...

(or epok-epok...hmmm...we always fight about the name...epok-epok...???no....karipap...??no... whatever...)

THE PASTRI

materials:

6 -7 tablespoon of cooking oil
2 cup of flour
1 cup of water

methods:

put the cooking oil in a pot and heat it until the smoke come out...then, pour the hot cooking oil in a bowl, fill with the flour...stir it with a spoon...(be careful, it's hot...) until it's colder and u can use ur hand to mix the flour with the oil...lastly, pour some water until u can make a doh...leave it and we can now make the filling...hehe...

THE FILLING

materials:

garlic (secukup rasa)
1 table spoon of aniseed (jintan manis)
2 table spoon of 'udang kering'
5-6 dried chillies (cabai kering)
curry powder (serbuk kari daging cap ADABI...nk sedap lg, cap O..)
1 cup of water
salt (secukup rasa)

methods:

pump (tumbuk) all the ingredients except the curry powder (please use the 'lesung batu'...hehe...) until all the ingredients are well mixed up...then, 'tumis' all the ingredients together with the curry powder...u have to keep on stirring to prevent the ingredient from being overcooked...when the mixture is well cooked @ 'pecah minyak', add some water and keep on stirring until it boils...add salt and yap...finish...keep it aside to cool down...then, take the pastri and start making ur curry puff...put the filling in the pastri and u can do the 'kelim' urself or just use the mould ...

lastly, fry ur curry puff...u can hv it anyway u like it...with tea or coffee...ayaq suam pn bleh la jugak...hehee...
